Helyx Industries Files International PCT Patent Application for a Smart Remote Calibration Device for HYRIS bCUBE™
Helyx Industries announces the official filing of an international PCT (Patent Cooperation Treaty) patent application for an innovative smart, connected device enabling remote calibration of HYRIS bCUBE™ instruments.
The new technology allows thermal and optical recalibration of the bCUBE™ to be performed remotely — operations that have traditionally required the on-site presence of a specialised technician. With this solution, the Group completes its remote service ecosystem, enabling full-remote management of the entire instrument lifecycle, from installation through to post-sales support.
The device integrates natively with Hyris System™ — the platform comprising HYRIS bCUBE™, HYRIS bAPP™ and associated reagents — further strengthening the Group's ability to deliver complete, integrated, and accessible solutions for distributed molecular diagnostics.
A Concrete Competitive Advantage
In the segment of portable, connected Real Time PCR instruments, the ability to perform calibration remotely — operations that have until now been tied to physical on-site intervention — represents a significant technological leap. This innovation reduces post-sales service costs, minimises instrument downtime, and extends support capacity on a global scale, including geographically remote areas or locations with limited access to qualified technical personnel.
"This patent originates from a very real technical challenge: how to ensure the full analytical integrity of an instrument deployed anywhere in the world, without sending a technician on-site. The answer was to engineer a device capable of performing thermal and optical calibration procedures entirely from a distance — procedures that, until now, could not be separated from physical presence. For us, this is not just a product innovation: it is a new paradigm for post-sales service in distributed molecular diagnostics. And we believe it will set a new standard for the industry."

A Growing IP Portfolio with Global Reach
The filing of the international PCT patent application — which provides the opportunity to extend patent protection to over 150 countries party to the Treaty — joins the Group's existing proprietary intellectual property portfolio, which already includes patented technologies underpinning HYRIS bCUBE™ and its broader ecosystem. For a company listed on Euronext Growth Milan, the protection of intellectual property on a global scale represents a strategic differentiator and a key driver of long-term value for shareholders.
Helyx Industries will continue to update the market on the patent registration process in accordance with applicable regulations and timelines.
